Sam Cowherd
Attorney at Law

Sam was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, Missouri. He graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and the University of Missouri, where he obtained a degree in Finance & Banking. He graduated Cum Laude in 2015.

Sam attended the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville School of Law and received a Juris Doctorate. He graduated Cum Laude in 2018. While at the University of Arkansas School of Law, he was an editorial board member of the Journal of Food Law & Policy. He was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2018 and the United States District Court for the Western District of Missouri in 2019.

Sam joined John's office in August of 2018, and he focuses his practice on estate planning, probate disputes, estate administration, business formation, business drafting, and other general civil litigation disputes.

Sam is married to his wife, Morgan. Sam enjoys playing golf, spending time at the lake, and splitting his time between Columbia and Fayetteville to watch the tigers and the razorbacks play. He hopes to one day visit every football stadium in the SEC with his dad.
